Diddy's New Book: CULO!!

Sean Diddy Combs is expressing his appreciation for a certain part of a woman's anatomy with a coffee table book.

According to the New Yorker, the entertainment industry mogul has teamed up with photographer Raphael Mazzucco and record exec Jimmy Iovine to craft a 248 page tome filled with artistically rendered images of women's rear ends.

The website for the $65 coffee table book says it derives its title, "Culo by Mazzucco," from the Italian word for buttocks, and carries the tagline, "The World Is No Longer Flat."

The site also explains that "Culo" is "an art, fashion and pop culture movement. No matter if you were raised to call it derriere, tush, rear end, or booty, culo is the new epicenter of female sexuality, desire and empowerment." Adds Iovine, "Fashion needs fewer women who look like boys and more women with some 'Boom Boom Pow.'"

If you're an "Entourage" fan you've actually already seen a few of the images - some of the photos were in the August 28 episode, as Adrian Grenier's Vince was being photographed by Mazzucco, according to a statement.

The photographer admits on the website that "the conversation about creating a book of asses is not your garden variety, cocktail party fare," and says in the statement that he had to think carefully about his approach.

"I wrestled for weeks about how to attack this concept," Mazzucco says in a statement. "I have relished every brush stroke, every hypnotic flash in which I reach deep down in my gut and pull out a glimpse of the world as only I see it."

To see for yourself, the website also offers a video preview of some of the book's images. (Depending on your workplace, you may want to wait until you're off the clock to view.) The book itself will be available on November 22 (just in time for the holiday season).

Sports: Week Two Pats and League Recap!

Well well the Pats are 2-0 and my pre season prediction for MVP Tom Brady seems to be right on the money 2 weeks in. Honestly how is it possible that TB12 is on pace to have the best season of his life, when he already has had the best season statically in 07 and was the first ever unanimous MVP last season? It’s actually unbelievable how good Brady has been through his two first games 940 yards 7 TDS and 1 INT on a ball that was deflected off a defenders head. Obviously the Pats have looked great the past two weeks but if I need to be critical of one area or should I say person it will have to be second year cornerback Devin MCcourty he has gotten beating like a red headed step child. There is supposed to be a big step forward from year one to year two and Devin is taking a huge step back looking more and more like his twin brother Jason who is currently getting beat up and down the field in Tennessee. Personally I think he will be fine but boy did Brandon Marshall and Vincent Jackson abuse him. My hope is that he just struggles with tall wide outs, so this week will be a test vs a small but nasy wideout in Stevie “why so serious” Johnson.

And now speaking of Johnson the fucking Bills are 2-0 and look good doing it. If you asked any Buffalo Bill fan this week versus the Pats is probably the biggest game since the Music City Miracle in 99. I can respect that home crowd, and I can also respect the fact the Bills have looked good, but before people start getting crazy and thinking the Bills beat the Pats there is one thing you got to remember. NOBODY CIRCLES THE WAGONS LIKE THE BUFFALO BILLS!!! Ever since the Pats lost 31-0 many moons ago to the Bills, they have railed off a 15 game winning streak vs the Bills and that right there tells me all I need to know. The Bills are our bitch and Tom Brady will shred them. Patriots 48 Bills 27.

And as a man I can admit when I am wrong and boy was I wrong with the Kansas City Chiefs winning the AFC West…they look horrible but hey 7/8 divisions is better than most so I ain’t mad at myself.

Interscope Records Involved in Federal Drug Case

The offices of Interscope Records were used to ship millions of dollars worth of cocaine and drug proceeds across the country it has been revealed in the ongoing case of James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond.

According to TheSmokingGun.com, defense lawyers for James Rosemond received detailed shipping records showing that Interscope's Los Angeles office was used to pick up drugs and cash, stuffed in road cases used to ship musical equipment.

Prosecutors are trying to determine why and how Interscope's offices were used, although they are aware that Rosemond manages rapper Game, who is signed to Interscope.

Investigators claim that Rosemond used Rock It Cargo, to deliver kilos of cocaine from Los Angeles to New York, where the cocaine was distributed.

The proceeds were then packed in the music cases and sent back to music studios in Los Angeles.

According to the TSG, a number of Rosemond's former associates are cooperating and are explaining how the cash and cocaine shipped cross-country.

Investigators claim that Rosemond used his Czar Entertainment as a legitimate front, and then utilized Rock It drugs disguised as legitimate freight.

James "Jimmy Henchman" Rosemond is currently being held in Metropolitan Correctional Center without bail.

Mayweather Wrap Up: No Apologies!

Controversial boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeated opponent Victor Ortiz on September 17th in Las Vegas in a fight that ended in controversy.

A variety of celebrities came out to see Mayweather, including Sean "Diddy" Combs, Mark Wahlberg and rapper 50 Cent, who accompanied the champion to the ring.

The fight came to a halt in an unusual ending in the 4th round.

Ortiz attempted a headbutt on Mayweather and the fight was briefly stopped by referee Joe Cortez, who warned Ortiz against fighting dirty.

As referee Joe Cortez looked away, Ortiz attempted to apologize to Mayweather.

When the pair walked towards each other in what Ortiz thought was an apologetic gesture, Mayweather two pieced him and knocked him out, just as he was turning away.

Mayweather discussed the controversial knockout after the fight.

"I got hit with a dirty shot and it's protect yourself at all times," Mayweather told commentator Larry Merchant after the fight. "He does something dirty. If he wants a rematch, he can get it."

Mayweather became frustrated with Merchant's line of questioning and snapped on him.

"You'll never give me a free shake," Mayweather said in Merchant's face. "HBO needs to fire you, you don't know s**t about boxing."

"I wish I was 50 years younger, and I would kick your ass," Larry Merchant retorted.

Victor Ortiz had a different response.

"I was called to break by the referee. I obeyed as I was I told. I looked up and 'boom' I was out," Ortiz complained.

A number of rappers weighed in on the controversial "apology knockout."

"Victor wasn't ready for the big lights why he put his hands down. Stupid move fighting Money Mayweather,” G-Unit affiliate Tony Yayo said.

Big Sean weighed in on the fight as well.

“If Floyd cheated then y he got the belt. That n***a Floyd was attentive and smart. If it's legal u can't hate. Ortiz did him. If anything.”

According to Cash Money Records CEO, he's cashed in twice on Floyd Mayweather's fights.

He allegedly bet $4 million on Mayweather when he defeated Sugar Shane Mosley in May of 2010.

"YMCMB. BORN 2 Win. Milly n***a. We Tha Busine$$," Birdman tweeted.

For Nelly, it was a case of karma for Victor Ortiz, since he initiated the shocking sequence of events.

"LOLOLOL SEE DATS WAD HAPPENS WEN U CHEAT!!" Nelly tweeted.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is the new welterweight WBC champion of the world with a record of 42-0.

Did J Cole Get Dropped from Roc Nation?

I know this has to be a bad rumor going around. J. Cole just had a Roc Nation-approved listening session. With that said, there is a terrible rumor that Cole's World may be spiraling out of the Jay-Z universe. I admit this comes from mediatakeout.com so you can take that for what its worth. But, they are saying that Jay-Z was the one that really pushed for this droppage. The reasons seem to be personal and not rooted in the fact that Cole's buzz isn't quite what it should be commercially. On the flip side, the report says that Cole will release that album that we love, and the so-called drop will happen after that. This, is where the rumor gets funny style. We know the game, don't we? Nobody is going to release an artists' album that that have a personal beef with. They will put said artist on the SHELF until the life runs out of his veins THEN "drop" him...not when they are still viable as J. Cole is. So, I don't believe this one.

WIZ KHALIFA AND AMBER ROSE GOT MARRIED!!

So mediatakeout.com reported that Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose got married Thursday night in Las Vegas. They say someone at the wedding sent this picture to MTO. Could be true, and it was Wiz's birthday on Thursday, which was September 8th. MTO also reported a few weeks ago that Amber was pregnant and they had this pic of a "baby bump." Congrats to Amber and Wiz. Wonder how Yeezy's feelin?

AllHipHop.com Interview with Yelawolf

Yelawolf is a blunt and direct person who you’ll either have to take or leave. His personality comes alive in his music, which often makes his tracks memorable standout. No one sounds like him, and no one can copy his raunchy, gritty style of rhyming. Known for his far-from-pure antics and his energetic stage show, Yelawolf is a poster child for “not giving a “f*ck.”

Yelawolf’s fan base has increased at a steady rate, likely helping to fuel his hunger to carve out a unique niche in the industry. His dedication has landed him next to one of the greatest rappers in history – Eminem – who saw something in Yelawolf and signed him to Shady Records back in January. Yela speaks with AllHipHop.com on his latest moves and what his career will yield next:

AllHipHop.com: Tell me about your nickname, Joe Dirt.

Yelawolf: My manager, Bear, calls me that because I have lived so many different types of life. Every week of my life has been some type of story, and I always remember each one. I’ve known Bear for about six years, and it’s still stories that he’s never heard, so he started calling me that after the movie. [laughter]

AllHipHop.com: Trunk Muzik turned out great for you. Did it meet all of your expectations overall?

Yelawolf: I think it went far beyond my expectations. I’m thankful. I knew we had something special, but I didn’t know that it would change my life like it did. I’m a really strange person so I didn’t expect it to connect with anyone, because I was at the point where I had a lot of music but nothing was really sticking with anybody. It took awhile to show people who I am outside of the music, with how I look, and where I'm from, and being a white rapper.

AllHipHop.com: You’ve been doing bigger features with major artists like Gucci Mane, Ludacris, and Game. What has that been like?

Yelawolf: Features are just work. Ludacris and The Game just came together by being there. Features always work out together in different ways. I’ve reached out to other artists for my album, and it usually works out because you have two artists with a mutual respect that want to come together and make good music. I do features for the sake of the song not the money. I use it as a tool to get my name out there. My features are based on hard work.

AllHipHop.com: Once you made the XXL Freshmen list, some would say that was a strong co-sign that helped to certify you? Do you think it solidified you in the Hip-Hop game as the real McCoy or not?

Yelawolf: The Freshmen list can go two ways for you. Basically, the people at XXL say that here’s a group of kids that maybe deserve a chance. It’s not a list of a bunch of kids that “will” make it. That list doesn’t make you. This is just the staff at XXL giving you an opportunity, saying that these kids are worth watching. You might have a buzz or a great verse on a song but that doesn’t mean anything. This game is about making amazing albums and shows. It’s all about what you take from that situation. I think some will be great from that last issue, and some will not.

AllHipHop.com: So, you were a part of the Waken Baken Tour. Speak on that, and does Yelawolf indulge in the high art himself, or do you bypass the usual chronic festivities?

Yelawolf: I mean it was like spring training. Some nights were really good, and some nights were really bad. My DJ and me do our best to stay consistent but each city has its own style and crowd vibe. When we did our Vegas show, that was incredible. You have to understand what it looks like to people that came out to see Wiz and have me stepping out on the stage first, especially if they’ve never even heard of me. I don’t even smoke weed. Wiz chills, I rage out and jump in the crowd, and he barely touches the crowd because he’s so laid back. So, it’s two totally different shows with challenges. In the end, I gained a lot of fans out of that situation so I’m thankful.

AllHipHop.com: You had met Em before signing, so were you surprised down the road when he showed interest in signing you?

No, but If you’re not excited about signing with Shady Records, then you’re an idiot. Em is the best of the best in Hip-Hop, so it was huge for me. To not only be a fan but to think of me enough to want to do a deal was validating and a slap in the face to the critics. I still feel excited about it everyday when I wake up. It’s unbelievable, and thank you to all of the people that believed in me.

AllHipHop.com: How does Ghetto Vision plan to standout as a label now with major backing?

Yelawolf: I mean Ghetto Vision is the core and KP (Kawan Prather) is the CEO. He’s not so interested in the flash of the industry. It’s free creative freedom. There is support and friendship. Ghetto Vision is the ultimate artist label. The Ghetto Vision team is about dedication and that’s great. I don’t think that to stand out is the goal with Ghetto Vision. I’m proud of my team, but I don’t think the label wants to get shine but wants their artist to get the shine. So, if I do well than Ghetto Vision will be happy.

AllHipHop.com: You recently announced that the release date is October 25. Was there anything special about this date?

Yelawolf: Well, I didn’t know that was the release date. You’re the first person I heard say that date. I thought it was in September, but I'm not surprised. Well, no, there’s nothing special about that date, just that my album comes out and it’s my freshmen release of my life work that will be distributed.

AllHipHop.com: Tell me about the single, “Hard White.”

Yelawolf: Well, last minute, I was in Vegas, and I recorded the album and went out to my homeboy’s studio. I was in a bad mood because the crew was like, ‘we still need that one record,’ and I felt like I was finished. They stayed up all night and found the beat, I recorded it, and everyone went nuts. When I heard the mix back in Atlanta, Lil Jon had been added, which was a surprise. I like the single. We just shot the video for it. I’m proud of it.

AllHipHop.com: Are you worried that being under the Interscope umbrella will force you to change your musical direction?

No, that’s impossible. I never understood that concept, because if you don’t allow a label to do that, then it won’t happen. If you look at my musical track record, my projects were all my creative concepts. I am the creative director of my sound, me. I have people around who guide and help me, but at the end of the day, it’s my music and no one controls that. It would be impossible to control my music unless I turn into a robot. I was never worried about them trying to change my sound because they signed me for my sound.

AllHipHop.com: You were in a few episodes of the VH1 show “Single Ladies.” What was it like breaking in your acting chops?

Yelawolf: It was dope. It was my first speaking role. I had to audition, which made me pretty nervous. It was cool because I got to play myself. I feel good about it. It was cool being around the set. It inspired me. I’d like to do some more acting in the future, but I’d want to get a coach. I never seen the episode but people told me it was dope.

AllHipHop.com: Being from the South, how did you develop your speedy flow of rapping?

Yelawolf: I listened to a lot of early Three Six Mafia, Twista, Tela, Crucial Conflict. I got interested in the art of chopping words and using syllables to hit every note, and I just stuck with it.

AllHipHop.com: I know your musical career has really taken off. Does Yelawolf still have time for the skateboarding life as well?

Yelawolf: Yeah, I kinda still make time for it. I bring my boards out on tour. I don’t get to skate as much as I did because this life is very busy. I try to hit the streets in between shows or whenever I have down time.

AllHipHop.com: Any final words before Radioactive drops?

Yelawolf: I just want to thank everyone for staying down, and I want everyone to come out to the shows because that’s what my life is all about right now. I can’t wait for people to hear the new music.

New Music: 5 O'Clock in the Morning by T-Pain feat. Wiz Khalifa and Lily Allen

Video: Young Jeezy in the Studio!

Video: Pharrell in Palladium Commercial [part 1]

A couple days ago we reported that Pharrell had signed an advertising deal with boot maker Palladium. Here is part 1 of a 5 series commercial.

Photo: Drake the DJ?

Last night, Young Money superstar Drake was at the Versace store in New York for Fashion Night Out. Apparently Drizzy played DJ at the event, previewing a new track from Take Care, due out October 24th, and his verse on Waka Flocka's Round of Applause Remix.

Check out yesterday's post about Drake here.

Lil Wayne Speaks to XXLmag.com about Brett Favre

The NFL season kicked off last night (September 8) and football fans everywhere rejoiced. The Green Bay Packers beat the New Orleans Saints 42-34 in a action packed slugfest which came down to a nail biting goal line defending last play by the Cheeseheads.

There is no doubt that one of the biggest sports fanatics this side of the Mississippi, Lil Wayne, had his shades off and was watching the Pack versus his hometown heroes. While Thursday saw only one game played, this weekend, most of the other teams take the field and while the man with the biggest album in the world will enjoy the faceoffs, the NFL will never be the same for Wayne. Birdman, Jr.’s favorite player Brett Favre is retired—seemingly for good this time—and Weezy says there are no replacements.

“Who’s my favorite football player after Brett Favre?” Wayne asked XXLMag.com. “That’s my favorite football player. I ain’t got no other favorite football player! I’m a grown ass man. You don’t just jump to another nigga; ‘oh that’s my favorite now!’ Nah nigga, that’s my favorite football player; Brett Favre. Ain’t no other nigga could fuck with him.”

Wayne has actually gotten a chance to not just see the future Hall-Of-Famer play live over the years, but the two have met and Weezy even has some signed Favre sports paraphernalia. And when Wayne was in jail last year, Favre, who was a member of the Minnesota Vikings checked on Weezy and sent words of encouragement through then teammate and friend of the Young Money/Cash Money family Brian McKinney.

“Yea, yea. Yea that’s, you know, he from the South,” Wayne said of Favre compassion. “That’s just how we are from here, nah mean? I’m quite sure he’s aware of my admiration for him and his game, his career. He shows the same for me and mine.” —Shaheem Reid

Sports: WE ARE FUCKING BACK! WE ARE BACK!!! WE ARE BAAAAACK!!!

Tonight marks the kickoff to opening weekend when the defending Super Bowl champs host the Super Bowl champs of two years ago, the New Orleans Saints. Look for this one to be a shootout and if I was a betting man, which I seem to be from September thru February, I’m taking the Saints (-4.5) to win this one on the road. A lot of good games this week I personally can't wait. We got a rematch of the AFC championship Ravens v. Steelers, Cowboys hosting the Jets, and obviously, Pats play the Fish on Monday night. Now I could sit here and pick each game and make you a bunch of money this weekend, but I’m not going to share. I don’t need all you fuckers watering down Vegas with great bets and making my payout less. However, what I will do is I will predict the season division champs, conference champs, Super Bowl Champ and so on. Here we goo!

AFC EAST- New England Patriots- Until Brady and Belichick retires they will be the Kings of the East
AFC NORTH- Baltimore Ravens- Ray Ray and company are getting old. Might be the last realistic year they can get to the big game.
AFC SOUTH-Houston Texans- Every year people call on the Texans to Step up and they shit the bed no Peyton in Indy this should be the year.
AFC WEST- Kansas City Chiefs- Everyone seems to be sleeping on this team..well wake the fuck up

Wild Card Jets & Chargers

NFC EAST- Dallas Cowboys- No Wade Phillips, healthy Tony Homo I mean Romo this team should get it done.
NFC NORTH- Green Bay Packers- what kind of asshole would I be if I didn’t pick the defending champs to win the division
NFC SOUTH- New Orleans Saints honestly IMO the best division in football could be one of three teams, geauxin with the boys from the NOLA
NFC WEST-St. Louis Rams- Sam Bradford + new offensive coordinator Josh McDaniel + shitty division= Conference title for the Rams

Wild Card Eagles & Falcons

MVP- Tom Brady, no explanation needed
OROY- Julio Jones- kids a beast, line him up next to Rhoddy White and that’s scary
DROY- Patrick Paterson- unreal ball skills pure shut down corner and plays in the NFC west, which should make him look a lot better than he really is

Superbowl Prediction Patriots over Falcons, Call me a homer or call me bias and Ill call you an idiot. The Pats are best suited team after a lockout to be prepared to win the whole thing. And what better place to do it in than in Indy the home of this years Super Bowl…wait, I know, next year in New York.

Oh yeah and off topic HDC is going to be taking down West End Johnnies in Boston next Thursday, the 16th. Theres no game so you have no excuse not go. And ladies bring an extra pair of clean panties if you gunna throw them at my boys, they don’t need no nasty ones you been wearing all night. That shit just aint right.

GO PATS!

@jmurph2121

Drake Can't Do What With Who?!?!

So I got this letter from illSeed over at allhiphop.com (Shouts out to AHH) about Drake and this run in that he had up in Canada...check it out its pretty crazy. I have heard a lot of rumors about Drake and how hes fake and has writers and he was created by Hollywood...who knows if any of it's true or just people hating...but this seems pretty legit. Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments!

I grew up with Aubrey Graham out here before he went got his role on Degrassi and turned into Jimmy Brooks and then got fake shot and turned into Wheelchair Jimmy, and then signed with Wayne and turned into Drizzy Drake. Anyways, homeboy was back in town this weekend visiting his moms and my homie Joe Duckett who also went to Forest Hill Collegiate with us got invited to a party at another mutual friend's crib.

Now this is basically the first time I've seen the kid since we were playing ball at 14 so I was pretty pumped. I mean we were bar mitzvah kids together, used to chill pretty much every weekend, mackin chicks, blowing trees, you name it. It's a Canadian Jew thang. So me and Duckett get to Rupert's crib and immediately I know this isn't my typical Saturday night. There's about 50 girls in this place that I would literally sell my mother into slavery if it meant sleeping with them (i did get some brain... bamm!)

(I had to edit some of the letter to get to the point...) Then we start talkin bout hip hop and Duckett brings up the Phonte s**t from last week (mother f***er's a huge LB fan)... So Aubrey starts saying how Wayne told him not to do the collabo with Phonte or 9th and that he's basically on a gag order. People started asking if the order came down from Birdman but he wouldn't confirm or deny. So I say that shit's pretty foul and Aubrey agrees whole heartedly. Really shocked me, man. Shebib (40) was in the crib too and he starts saying that he had some sick co-production on a joint 9th wonder gave to them and my man was saying he had the dopest rhymes and just wished he could use them but he's just not allowed. He said people are tryna protect his image and keep him commercial... and that backpack s**taint sellin no more.

Crazy, right?

Baby and Slim Speak on the Success of the Carter IV

Cash Money Records CEO's Bryan “Birdman” Williams and his brother Ronald “Slim” Williams discussed the success a Lil Wayne's new album Tha Carter IV, which is the #1 album in the United States this week.

The brothers, who founded the Cash Money Records imprint in 1990, were excited and thankful that Wayne's album moved almost 1,000,000 copies in its first week in stores.

“This is a tremendous accomplishment for Lil Wayne and everyone here at Cash Money,” Slim told AllHipHop.com in a statement released today. “It’s a tribute to the hard work and commitment he’s shown from the very start.”

Tha Carter IV moved 964,000 copies during its first week in stores, with over 350,000 of those sold through iTunes.

The album surpassed the iTunes sales record set the previous week by Lil Wayne's rival Jay-Z and his partner, Kanye West's album Watch the Throne.

"I consider him my son, part of the Cash Money family from the very start,” Baby told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “One thing I've learned. No record is safe from him."

Lil Wayne is currently headlining the “I Am Still Music Tour,” which will continue through the end of the summer.

If you have been following @liltunechi on Twitter, you know that the Grammy-winning rapper has a new found affinity for skating. A few weeks ago Wayne and his Young Money entourage stopped by the Fantasy Factory in LA and spent some time shredding with Rob's cousin, Drama. Here is the video of Rob talking about Wayne and his skateboarding ambitions.

News: Wildfire Blazes in Texas

BASTROP, Texas — Calmer winds Tuesday should help firefighters battling a wildfire that has destroyed more than 1,000 homes in Central Texas and forced thousands of residents to evacuate to shelters to avoid the blaze, officials said.
But Gov. Rick Perry told NBC's TODAY that the fires were "a long way" from being under control and described the effect on people who had lost their homes as "devastating."
Texas Forest Service spokeswoman Victoria Koenig said it is too early to say how much progress was made fighting the wildfire in Bastrop County overnight, but that there were no winds early Tuesday. The fire enveloped at least 25,000 acres Monday.
"It's encouraging we don't have winds right now, not like yesterday," Koenig said early Tuesday morning.
Even with the encouraging conditions, Koenig said it was a "tough, tough fire" that was raging through rugged terrain, including a ridge of hills.
"You can still see the hills glowing quite a bit," she said.
At least 5,000 people were forced from their homes in Bastrop County about 25 miles east of Austin, the state capital, and about 400 were in emergency shelters, officials said Monday. School and school-related activities were canceled Tuesday.

Big Black Gets BIG New Office in the Fantasy Factory!

Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory is in the middle of a major face-lift -- and it's all to make room for Big Black's new penis enhancement ... offices.

Sources close to the MTV production tell us Rob's co-star has inked a spokesman deal with Extenze male enhancement pills. We're told Big Black's new gig will require extra office space at the FF ... so construction is underway and should be done before the new season premieres.

Wood for wood.

Sports: Man Dies at the Home of Antonio Smith!

A man was found dead at the home of Houston Texans defensive end Antonio Smith -- the victim of an apparent drowning.

The fully-clothed body of 37-year-old Engram Lamar Crenshaw was found at the bottom of Smith's pool at 9:30 AM Sunday. He was last seen at around 2 AM.

Crenshaw was a friend of Smith's and at his home for a party, in which about 100 people attended, including 4 or 5 other Houston Texans players.

Apparently no one noticed Crenshaw was missing until people in the house woke up just after 9 AM.

Cops don't suspect foul play. The G.M. for the team said he's aware of the situation but would have no comment ... at least for now.

Pharrell Lands New International Ad Campaign!!

Producer Pharrell Williams will be featured in the 2011 advertising campaign for Palladium boots.

Pharrell will be featured in the international campaign “Tokyo Rising,” that follows the producer as he interviews locals and discovers the resiliency of the country, after a massive earthquake and tsunami in March.

In addition to online and print ads, Pharrell Williams will be featured in a documentary that follows him around the city.

"I find great inspiration in Tokyo from the people," Pharrell Williams said. "To me, the way that the Japanese people regard life and culture is completely unmatched. Tokyo is my second home and I jumped at the chance to come back and reconnect with friends during the exploration."

Palladium is a well-known boot brand designed for urban exploration, that started in 1947, as a maker of tires for military aircraft's.

"Palladium's core message is about urban exploring and putting your boots on to find out what's beyond the tourist guidebook," said Barney Waters, vice president of marketing for Palladium. "Tokyo is one of the great cities of the world and we felt there was a whole layer of the city's story that wasn't being told in the aftermath of the natural disaster of 3/11. We wanted to go back and see for ourselves how the young creative class was dealing with the aftermath, and what their vision was for the vibrant future of Tokyo."

Boots in the Palladium collection retail for $80-$120.

The campaign launched yesterday and will run until December 31st in a variety of print and online publications.

T.I. Back in Federal Prison!

T.I. was taken from a halfway house earlier this morning, for allegedly misleading prison officials about his mode of transportation from prison, to the halfway house.

Law enforcement officials told TMZ.com that T.I. misled prison officials, who believed he would be taking a van to the halfway house, instead of a high-end tour bus with members of his entourage in tow.

Officials stated that T.I. should have let them know that he was taking a “party bus” to the halfway house. Now, TI is sitting in federal custody in an Atlanta prison as a result of the infraction.

"We are awaiting the opportunity to quickly resolve whatever the issue may be that the Federal Bureau of Prisons has with TI's method of transportation, bus, from Arkansas to Atlanta, so that T.I. can return to the halfway house to complete the remaining days of his sentence," his attorney Steve Sadow told TMZ.com.

Review: Carter IV Album Review

It has been just under a year since Lil Wayne’s album I’m Not A Human Being was released and a little over three years since the platinum-selling Tha Carter III. Has the self-proclaimed “greatest rapper alive” improved, fell short, or delivered just what the fans were expecting with his latest offering? Read our review of Wayne’s newly released and ninth studio album, Tha Carter IV, below to find out what we think.

Wayne kicks off the album with, “It’s been awhile.” We hear the infamous lighter spark, and his signature laugh, and with that, Lil Wayne is back. Over a slowly growing, Willy Will produced beat, we get a playful Weezy doing his thing and making references to a number of people including: Helen Keller, Dusty Rhodes, Rudy Huxtable, and Grace Jones. “Blunt Blowin” is up next and is one of the albums standouts which showcases Weezy’s “not give a f*ck” attitude.

“Megaman” follows, with a beat very similar to an older Wayne track, “Ransom,” and also features no chorus. An intense lyrical delivery over a Megaman sampled theme song makes this another homerun in terms of the tracks provided on Tha Carter IV so far. With the familiar “6 Foot 7 Foot” featuring Cory Gunz following, Wayne starts off the album four for four. The Bangladesh produced banger is one of the best tracks on the album, despite how long it has been in rotation for at radio.

The album slows down for the piano-laden next song, “Nightmares of the Bottom.” Wayne goes from introspective to boastful pretty quickly with lines like: “I’m searching for today, instead I found tomorrow / I put that s**tright back, like I’ll see what I find tomorrow” to “I’m so cold I’m hypothermic / ask your girl she will confirm it.” He continues the back and forth throughout the song which leads perfectly into “She Will,” which features Drake who provides chorus duties over a “made-for-radio” song. T-Minus provides the perfect beat for Wayne and Drake to create mainstream magic on. It is the first of three songs about women found on the album.

“How to Hate” featuring T-Pain is the album’s first misfire. Skip. The superior, “Interlude,” featuring Tech N9ne and a hidden verse from the illustrious Andre 3000 follows. Using the same beat as “Intro,” Wayne is absent on this superb track provided by two of Lil Wayne’s favorite lyricists. Andre closes the song with: “It’s important that you are more than, welcome to Tha Carter IV and y’all enjoy it, I will go head, and I’ll kiss y’all on y’all forehead / Out.”

The next song is another familiar one, as it’s been in heavy rotation for months now at radio. “John” featuring Rick Ross is a gem, created from a reworked, former Rick Ross song, “I’m Not A Star.” The two lyricists are right on home on this Polow Da Don produced track.

“Abortion” is a decent Wayne song. He’s doing his usual thing with lines like: “I woke up this morning, d*ck rock hard / ashed my blunt in my Grammy award” and ”Life is a gamble, better check the point spread / when life sucks, I just enjoy the head.” “So Special” featuring John Legend is the next song for the ladies and casually does the job over Cool & Dre’s production. Legend rarely makes bad songs, so his feature alone makes this worth the listen.

The Taylor Swift sounding “How to Love,” starts off the last third of the album followed by “President Carter” which features a looped sample from an old Jimmy Carter speech. The eerie harp in Infamous’ production sets the scene for Wayne, who has already declared himself the “best rapper alive,” to truly dominate all by anointing himself “President.” After “How to Love,” this song creates a great ending for Wayne’s latest studio effort followed by two star-studded collaborations: “It’s Good” featuring Jadakiss and Drake, and “Outro” featuring Bun B, Nas, Shyne, and Busta Rhymes.

On “It’s Good,” Jadakiss kicks things off, followed by Drake, with Wayne taking the song’s third and best verse which includes the much talked about “shot” at Jay-Z. “Outro” which features the four previously named “heavyweights” is grand finale, not just to the previous “Intro” and “Interlude,” but also to the album itself. And with that, the curtains have closed and Tha Carter IV came to an end.

Has Wayne created something memorable enough that people will still be talking about in a few years? I would say no. Did he create a solid album that has a large amount of reply value? Absolutely! But I believe that this is not what fans have been waiting three years for. There is, for the most part, nothing new, fresh, or innovative about Tha Carter IV, and most frustratingly, the album pretty much teeters out after the first half. This album will not help convert any “haters,” but it is overall, a mostly solid addition to Weezy’s catalog.

Weezy Celebrates the Carter IV!

(ThyBlackMan.com) Wait is over for Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter 4 album. The fourth installment in Lil Wayne ‘Tha Carter’ series went on sale at midnight Monday (Aug. 29), and to celebrate, the Young Money labelhead threw a start-studded album release party at Boulevard 3 nightclub in Hollywood, Calif., directly following the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.
Although Lil Wayne was a little camera shy, coming off his performance at the Awards Sunday night (Aug. 28), Drake, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, J. Cole and a slew of others were all on hand to help him celebrate the highly-anticipated effort. “It’s a Lil Wayne album, you can only expect the best,” Drake tells The BB. “It’s a great night for him and he’s the reason I’m here. I’m here for him.”
A few hours earlier, Drake introduced his mentor at the awards ceremony, opting to go against the script written for him by MTV and speak from the heart. “They tried to get me to read the teleprompter but I had some things I wanted to say so I just kind of did it my own way,” he added.
Having been locked up for eight months on New York’s Rikers Island, the dreadlocked rapper had plenty of time to write material, but that doesn’t mean he kept a hold of it. While Lil Wayne has admitted to scrapping most of the song concepts after he was released and able to listen to some of his competitors, there’s no denying that his time behind bars affected his artistry.
“He’s just had a little time to think,” said Cash Money CEO Ronald “Slim” Williams. “His situation he had and coming back out, doing what he’s doing, what he loves to do, you know he had a little time to express things.”
No doubt Lil Wayne’s biggest competition at this point is himself. His last full-length album, ‘Tha Carter III’ sold one million copies within one week of its release back in 2008. Though record sales are still taking a hit, due in part to online music piracy, and despite the fact that ‘Tha Carter 4′ sprung a leak a few days early, Slim is confident that the project will meet the sales of its predecessor. “We’re doing more than a million, we don’t settle for less ya heard me Lil Wayne.”

Kanye the Godfather??

We're not talking Marlin Brando Godfather here. Apparently Kanye feels very confident that he will be the Godfather of Bey and Hov's kid. The Sun (newspaper from the UK) reported the following:

KANYE West is so confident about being named godfather to Beyonce's baby he's probably already bought the china tea set.

The rapper has told pals he's nailed on to get the gig.

He's even been saying he feels like it's his baby because he's so close to the singer and husband Jay-Z.

A source said: "Kanye is as excited about the baby as Beyonce and Jay-Z.

"He's been saying he's going to be godfather and is absolutely chuffed."It will be a huge honour for him."

We will see if the official announcement comes out...or maybe Kanye will get Taylor Swift'ed again. The new O.T.I.S. video is below. Best video this year by far...

Patriots Pre Season Part Three!

Tonight marks the fourth and final game of the preseason when the Pats take on the New York football Giants. Usually the fourth game is the last chance for the bums to prove their worth or else they will be ringing us out at our local Stop N Shop every Sunday instead. Coming off a beating from the Detroit Lions last week many people have asked will Tom and company see any action? I’m going to guess no like I’ve said a million times in the 2 blogs I have done pre season doesn’t mean shit, whether you win or lose by 50. And to boot the Giants won’t have one starter in there so what the fuck does it mean if Tom Brady goes and slings versus people who won’t even make the team? Let’s just get through this game healthy and get ready for next Monday night in Miami. There really is not much to watch for but I guess if there is anything lets watch and actually see if Brady and and/or any starters play if they do…well that means Coach Belichick is pissed, if they get the usual one-and-done (or less), then the big man is content with the course the team is on.

Check back in a week or so for the full season preview. O yea and by the way in case you were wondering which I know u were…both my fantasy teams are nasty. Not just saying that because they are my teams, they are legit and barring any bullshit I should receive a hefty payout around December right in time to buy myself a nice Christmas present..Sorry Mom.
