Mac Miller's set at the Urban Music Fest at City Hall yesterday must have been pretty good. The almost 50,000 people that showed up seemed to enjoy the show. Fights broke out, bottles got smashed, weed got smoked, and 14 year old white kids got their day. Reminiscent of last summer's free Wiz Khalifa concert (at the same venue), when a similarly sized mob ran the Taylor Gang general off stage, Miller tweeted "50k people now rioting" minutes after the fighting broke out. Miller, a 19 year old Pittsburgh native, is most well known for his mixtapes K.I.D.S. and Best Day Ever, and his single "Donald Trump" has amassed over 20 million views on YouTube. Miller is signed to Rostrum Records and attributes his success to hard work and fellow Pittsburg rapper Wiz Khalifa, saying "Wiz has been a big brother to me with this music thing so far. Our relationship is beyond music. He really is just my homie, whether I will be making music or not." Mac Miller's debut album, Blue Slide Park is slated for a Fall 2011 release, with his first single "Miller Family Reunion" available for download here.
